YSL Saint Laurent Shopping Tote Shopper in Dusty Pink

Boxy Shirt & Shorts [Plus: YSL Shopping Tote Review]

I’m generally really picky about handbags, especially those that I spend more than a few hundred dollars for.  For me, the most important features in a bag are functionality, style, and quality, in that order.  That’s why when I saw YSL’s new Shopping Tote, I got pretty excited.

Bag: Saint Laurent (or check out the fringed version here)
Top: Topshop
Shorts: Uniqlo
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Necklace: J. Crew
TO CORPORATE-FY THIS LOOK: Layer a collared white shirt underneath and swap shorts for a pencil skirt.

Here’s a quick summary of my thoughts with more detail below:

Functionality: B+
Style: A-
Quality: A
Price: A-

YSL Shopping Tote Review

YSL Shopping Tote Shopper Review

As you can see, the bag is quite roomy!  Even with all of these items, this bag is only about 60% full.

Overall, I’m still very happy with my purchase and definitely do recommend it.  Just be mindful of what you plan to use it for and I think you’ll be happy with it too!

Hi there. Is the color called dark dusty rose? I only see light dusty rose as an option. Your link was to Saks but appears to be sold out. Any other tips on how I can find this bag in this color?

The color is definitely Light Dusty Rose! I would do some Googling online to see what other retailers might carry it or you can probably order it from YSL online 🙂 Hope that helps!

Bag organizer? Where are you finding nice ones?

I actually don’t use bag organizers. I hate heavy bags so I try to minimize the amount of stuff I bring with me. I usually just put some essentials in a small see through pouch (kind of like these) that I transfer from bag to bag. Other than that, I just toss the bigger items like laptop and water bottle in my bag directly

If you’re looking for a bag organizer, it does seem like Amazon has some bag organizers with good ratings…maybe start there? 🙂

Love your bag and outfit! I am doing a post on designer tote and plan to use one of your pictures to feature the Saint Laurent Shopping Tote. I will put the source as “incorporatemode.com”, hope you don’t mind!

Thanks so much! I’m happy to let you use my pics. If you could just make sure the link works, that’d be great. Thanks and look forward to the review 🙂

Do you carry laptop in the bag everyday? How is the wear and tear? Does the bottom sag when the laptop is in?

Not every day but I do occasionally–it’s holding up well! It does sag a bit but not any more than any other tote bag I see around 😉

The colour is so beautiful! I was thinking about getting a red one as a pop of colour because I wear a lot of black. But my main question is, My biggest concern about this bag is that there is no compartment to but your phone or wallet in.
How do you handle the wallet situation? 🙂

There’s a little pouch attachment that comes with the bag–I use a LV key pouch as my wallet (I prefer my wallets small!), which is quite thin and fits into the attached pouch. It also fits my phone. I don’t think it would fit a bulky wallet though… hope that helps!
