Fall Neutrals: White Shirt and Gray Jeans

It’s been such an adjustment in the past month with starting a new role and moving to NYC.  It’s kind of embarrassing but I still haven’t unpacked my last boxes from the move!  To force myself to whip my apartment in shape, I’m throwing a dinner party this week so I feel pressure to get it done.

It’s also been a period of adjustment.  I’m trying to figure out everything from when/where I go to the grocery store to when I have time for working out. Needless to say, spending tons and tons of time trying to figure out what to wear is out of the question!  That’s why this week I’m going over some fall basics that you can go to whenever.

The White Shirt

The white shirt is being reinvented in lots of interesting ways and having a few white blouses in your rotation is a great idea.  They look polished and professional regardless of whether you wear them with wool trousers or pencil skirts.  And in my case, I think they dress up more casual bottoms.

Gray Denim

Move over blue denim because gray denim is here to stay.  I especially love gray for fall because I find the color to be very transitional from warmer weather of late summer/early fall.  It also looks super chic when paired with basically any other neutral, from tan to black to navy, so it’s hard to go wrong!
