29 Jan White Lace Top and Distressed Jeans
Work has been super busy lately and I’ve been looking for easy ways to look and feel dressed up without having to do things like steaming or ironing clothing, haha! So far, one of my favorite tricks is to throw on something lace, whether it’s a top or skirt. I find that lace is a material that can instantly dress up any look…like my favorite distressed jeans.
I like this shirt in particular because it’s longer in the torso and also long sleeved, which makes it seem more appropriate for the winter season.
When you shop for lace, here are a few ways to tell good quality from lower quality lace:
– Are there lots of little gaps or holes in the lace or is the weave tight and even? If it’s tightly woven, it’s usually higher quality.
– Is the lace fabric stiff or flimsy? I find that cheaper lace often doesn’t hold its shape and tends to come undone or get caught very easily.
– How intricate is the lace pattern? If the patterns are simple and repetitive, it’s likely machine made and not as quality as the hand made stuff.
With all that said though, I still love lace and appreciate that it’s so readily available at so many different price points these days!
