02 Apr New Neutrals: Ruffle Blouse, Wine Sweater, and Blush Bag
I just came back from a week in Reno and it made me really realize my appreciation for my newly adopted home of NYC. I’m sure Reno is perfectly lovely, but nothing quite compares to the convenience and 24/7 nature of the City. Plus, almost no where else can you watch up-and-coming brands really develop over time. I was walking around today and checked out quite a few showrooms of new brands like Koio Collective, Away, and Glossier. I love that NYC is a place where new ideas are always so embraced and celebrated!
In a similar vein, I wanted to introduce the idea of “new” neutrals. In addition to the black, beige, grays, and whites that we all love so much, I love the idea of blush as a new neutral. I particularly love my YSL bag, which comes in a blush that pairs well with grays, beiges, purples, and more.
Especially as we head into spring, a few blush pieces are a must have. I prefer styling blush pieces with pieces other than white for the office so it doesn’t come off as too girly or casual. If you find a great blush top, try pairing it with a black pencil skirt and classic pumps and you are all set for the season!
