Event at M.Gemi’s NYC Popup Store

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to host an event with M.Gemi (one of my all time favorite shoe brands) at their NYC popup store in Soho.  Anyone who knows me at all knows that I am a HUGE fan of shoes and I’m willing to pay just about anything for the perfect pair.  What I love about M.Gemi is that they are a direct to consumer model, meaning that they offer really high quality Italian shoes at a non-designer price (typically $150-350).  It’s an amazing value and I own five pairs of their shoes, though my collection seems to always be growing…

Even though I had been at their popup store before, it was a lot of fun for everyone else to be able to see and touch the product as well as be able to learn more about the brand.  I personally also really love the guideshop model, where you try the product on for size and the brand mails you your item in your desired size/style–that way, you can keep shopping and not worry about carrying around a ton of stuff!  It might not be a challenge elsewhere, but the struggle can be REAL here in NYC…

Something I didn’t know was that it was founded by the same guy who also founded RueLaLa and Lids!  A true retail serial entrepreneur.

If you have the chance to stop by M.Gemi’s Soho popup store, definitely try to do so!  It’s always a great experience and the store team almost always offers your a beverage of your choice (including alcoholic ones).  Not sure what could be better than an afternoon of shoes + champagne, but you tell me!
